Bravoleum Extra Virgin Olive Oil (500ml) – 100% Picual
Producers note:
Extra Virgin Olive Oil with an intense fruity green. It shows aromas of grass, tomato and olive leaf with important touches of almond and artichoke. It is very well balanced to the palate with a medium-low bitterness and a touch more of spice.
Conservation:
For its correct conservation, it is essential to keep the oil in a closed container, in a cool place, and away from light (especially sunlight).
Picual variety:
The Picual olives are one of the most cultivated varieties of Spain. The olive oil extracted from Picual olives has a medium aromatic profile with pleasant notes of tomato, fig tree, olive leaf, and freshly cut grass. Its oil is also well known for its strong bitter- and spiciness. It is often mixed with other oil to soften its bitterness and enhance its fruity flavor. Thanks to its stability the olive oil extracted from Picual olive has a long shelf life and makes it stable for cooking or frying.
About Hacienda el Palo:
Acieites Hacienda el Palo is among the best olive oil producers in Jaén, the World Capital of Olive Oil. They have countless, national and international awards, and with great family history. The Martos Ávila family has been producing olives for four generations since 1941. In the early 2000s, they decided to build a modern mill on their farm, to transform their olives into a golden liquid. Today they are producing ca.54000 hectolitres of oil per year. The olives come from the Family Farm, which is 300 hectares with 30 000 trees, as well as from selected local producers. Their credo is: ‘Our dream and our know-how is above anything and is the reason for the quality of our EVOO’. What else can we say? Hacienda el Palo turns the olives into liquid gold.
ElOlivo review:
A beautiful Picual EVOO from Bravoleum. If you open a bottle you will feel its powerful aromas right away. It comes with intense green olive fruitiness followed by notes of banana, green apple, tomato, and green herbs, just beautiful. At the tasting you will feel the complexity of this oil, it has a delicate entry followed by notes of green grass and green almond with medium-low bitterness and medium spiciness. Perfect finishing oil or dipping with some sourdough bread, we love it. We also tried this oil for cooking as it has amazing aromas. This is our choice of oil if we make some Aglio e olio or any fish such as pan-fried cod with fresh tomato and green herbs. Enjoy!
