Advantages of bag-in-box packaging:

One of the main advantages of bag-in-box packaging is its environmental friendliness. Both the box and bag components are recyclable, making it a highly recyclable option with a low environmental impact.

The inner bag is composed of multiple layers and is free of phthalates and pollutants, ensuring a safe and clean packaging solution.

Bag-in-box packaging helps keep the enclosed EVOO in optimal conditions. The hermetic seals effectively protect the oil from light, high temperatures, and oxidation, thus preserving the product in excellent condition for an extended period.

Moreover, this packaging method ensures that all the physico-chemical and organoleptic characteristics of the extra virgin olive oil remain intact for a longer duration.

The two-litre format of bag-in-box packaging includes a tap, providing the convenience of easy and hygienic dispensing.

The hexagon shape, found in natural phenomena such as beehives, basalt, insect eyes, foam, and snowflakes, represents the complexity and wisdom of the environment. This same shape is now embodied in the new Bag-in-Box Deortegas! Deortegas Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oils are sourced directly from nature, creating an unbreakable bond with it.

About Almazara Deortegas:

Established in 2008, Almazara Deortegas is a vibrant, family-owned business operating on a sprawling 170-hectare estate with an impressive 33,000 olive trees. Their extra virgin olive oils (EVOOs) have earned numerous accolades on both the national (Spanish) and international stages. The Deortegas EVOOs are far from mass-produced; their focus is squarely on delivering quality and promoting sustainability.

ElOlivo review:

This is a delicate EVOO with amazingly fresh green aromas such as banana, apple and almond. It is sweet and well balanced with a slight spiciness at the end. We were amazed by the fresh aromas of this oil, this is what makes this EVOO exceptional. We use it only raw, for dressing salads, soups or making sauces. We also tried it with our homemade Basque Cheese Cake and it was delicious. We use also this oil for making Basil Pesto - pairs perfectly with the pine nuts and Grana Padano. Enjoy!
