ElOlivo Review - Quattrociocchi Olivastro Bio Extra Virgin Olive Oil (500ml) - 100% Itrana:
One of the best monovarietal olive oils made from the Itrana variety. Its aromas are tomato, green banana, artichoke, celery, green apple and green herbs. For us the aroma of fresh basil is distinguished. At tasting the fruitiness is outstanding with medium to high bitterness and medium spiciness. This oil is perfectly balanced with notes of green almond at the end. What can we say? This oil is perfect and we love it. If somebody asks us what a perfect Itrana olive oil tastes like, we would give them a bottle of Quattroqiocchi Olivastro. We use it only raw. We drizzle it on our roast potatoes, steaks, and pasta. The list is endless. Simply amazing taste.

It is ‘green’, grassy and leafy just as a perfect Picual EVOO should be. A robust oil for sure, but perfectly balanced. We use it for dipping bread or cheese plates. It is amazing with any potatoes. We also use it for marinating a nice rib-eye steak with garlic and rosemary. As Casas de Hualdo is one of the best producers in the World there is not too much to add, the oil talks for itself.

Il Sincero means; the sincere. You will understand its name when you taste this oil. It has nothing to hide strong intense vegetable aromas with green herbs and with notes of mint. If you taste the oil first you will notice the thistle followed by notes of almond and black pepper. Then get ready for a strong spiciness and pungency. Rich aromas and strong taste, you will notice it from the moment you open a bottle of Il Sincero. The more than 100 years of hard work and commitment of the Viola Family resulted in this beautiful oil. We use it only raw. It is perfect with any roast vegetable or any meat dish. It is also amazing with stronger cheeses such as Gorgonzola. Must try category!
