Originating from Penedés, it owes its name to the town of Arbós. It is cultivated and produced on the Artajo estate.
Tasting notes: sweet fruity aromas reminiscent of peach and strawberry, with a hint of nuts. On the palate, it has a sweet touch, with a light and very balanced bitterness.
Pairing: Citrus and pastries.

Arbosana variety:
The Arbosana olive variety is a Spanish cultivar known for its high oil yields and popularity in modern, high-density olive farming, particularly in regions like California and Chile. It has a relatively early harvest period and is prized for its consistent productivity. The oil it produces has a rich and complex aroma profile, featuring fruity notes of green apple, almond, and tomato leaf, along with subtle hints of herbs, artichoke, and freshly cut grass. Well-balanced with mild bitterness and a peppery finish, Arbosana oil is versatile and often used in gourmet cooking. Its delicate yet layered flavor enhances salads, dressings, and dipping oils, pairing well with a wide range of dishes without overpowering them.
About Aceite Artajo:
The rich history of Artajo olive oil begins around the year 1780, with the Artajo family's decision to transform their olive oil and wine production into a thriving business. Over the course of approximately two centuries, the world turned upside down, but the Artajo Family continued its legacy of producing olive oil and wine until 1960.
In 1960, they decided to temporarily close the family business for a short period of 38 years. In 1998, Maria Dolores Artajo and Francisco Urzaiz breathed new life into the family legacy by reopening the business. They embarked on the reconstruction of the family mill, incorporating the latest technology, and successfully revitalized 85,000 Arbequina trees on the family estate.
Today, the Artajo estate spans 225 hectares of olive groves, boasting around 220 thousand trees. Aceite Artajo stands out as one of the rock stars in the world of olive oil. Picture this: within a mere two hours after harvest, the olives are processed in the mill, transforming into the amazing EVOO. Such remarkable performance is a testament to the unwavering dedication and effort invested.

This oil is seriously amazing! It has these beautiful sweet scents of green apple, rhubarb, and berries that are just wow. When you taste it, there’s a nice sweetness with a hint of spice. It totally reminds us of a yummy apple-berry crumble. We’re obsessed! Since it’s a mild oil, it pairs well with almost anything when used raw - great for salads, dipping, or finishing any dish. And if you're feeling adventurous, try it with vanilla ice cream or a berry crumble with custard - it’ll blow your mind. Honestly, it’s the perfect oil for everyone. Enjoy!
