Artajo 8 'EN RAMA' Bio Unfiltered Extra Virgin Olive Oil (1000 ml) - 100% Arbequina

Organic extra virgin olive oil of the Arbequina variety, produced from turning-color olives. Its uniqueness lies in its limited production, available only during the harvest season. Very intense in aroma, with a distinctive spicy kick.

The Artajo 8 range is produced from turning-color olives harvested in October and November. This unfiltered, unrefined oil is bottled during the harvest to enjoy the EVOO at its peak. It takes up to 8 kilos of olives to produce one liter.
Note: Best consumed fresh.

Arbequina variety:

Arbequina, a traditional Spanish olive variety, ranks as the second most popular variety in Spain in terms of crop area. The olive oil derived from Arbequina boasts aromatic, sweet, and fruity notes, accompanied by a subtle bitterness. Common aromas associated with this variety include green grass, tomato, apple, banana, and ripe fruit. Generally, oils produced from Arbequina olives exhibit low oxidation resistance. To address this, producers frequently blend Arbequina olive oil with other varieties to enhance overall stability in terms of aroma, body, and resistance to oxidation.

About Aceite Artajo:

The rich history of Artajo olive oil begins around the year 1780, with the Artajo family's decision to transform their olive oil and wine production into a thriving business. Over the course of approximately two centuries, the world turned upside down, but the Artajo Family continued its legacy of producing olive oil and wine until 1960.

In 1960, they decided to temporarily close the family business for a short period of 38 years. In 1998, Maria Dolores Artajo and Francisco Urzaiz breathed new life into the family legacy by reopening the business. They embarked on the reconstruction of the family mill, incorporating the latest technology, and successfully revitalized 85,000 Arbequina trees on the family estate.

Today, the Artajo estate spans 225 hectares of olive groves, boasting around 220 thousand trees. Aceite Artajo stands out as one of the rock stars in the world of olive oil. Picture this: within a mere two hours after harvest, the olives are processed in the mill, transforming into the amazing EVOO. Such remarkable performance is a testament to the unwavering dedication and effort invested.

One of our dreams came true when we received the first shipment from the Artajo Farm. We really love everything they make, and we're sure you'll enjoy the awesomeness they put into each EVOO they create!

ElOlivo Review:

This isn’t olive oil - this is olive juice: incredibly fresh and intensely fruity.
Every harvest, Artajo releases a limited-edition “En Rama” evoo, which means raw and unfiltered. It’s the very first oil of the season. We only received a few bottles this year, and once these are gone, that’s it until the next harvest - we can’t reorder.

Just look at the bottle - that deep green color matches the aromas: green apple, green banana, a touch of kiwi, and fresh-cut grass. Pure, vibrant fruitiness.

On the palate, the fruit keeps going - apple and banana - with a gentle spiciness and a sweet, lingering finish. Honestly, it’s so good you could almost drink it straight.

We love it with everything: dipping with a nice white sourdough, drizzling over fish or vegetables - anything really.
Definitely a must-try.
