Frantoio "Correggiolo" variety:

Frantoio, known locally in Tuscany as "Correggiolo," is one of the most traditional and prized olive varieties of the region. It produces an elegant extra virgin olive oil with medium to intense fruitiness, offering vibrant notes of artichoke, green almond, and fresh-cut grass. The oil is well-balanced, with a pleasant bitterness and a signature peppery finish that reflects its high polyphenol content. Versatile and deeply rooted in Tuscan culinary tradition, Frantoio "Correggiolo" is ideal for both raw use and cooking, especially in salads, pasta, and grilled vegetables.

Moraiolo variety:

Moraiolo is an Italian variety and originates from the Tuscany region. It is well known it’s quality of oil it produces. The Moraiolo Extra Virgin Olive Oil is a distinctively fruity oil with high intensity of bitter- and spiciness. Olive Oil made from the Moraiolo variety has pleasant aromas of fresh grass, green almond and artichoke.

Leccino variety:

Leccino is one of the rustic Italian varieties, mainly cultivated through Umbria and Tuscany. Nowadays it is expanding to the regions of Lazio, Puglia, Abruzzo, Campania and Marche. You can find Leccino olive trees all around the World, thanks to their good adaptability and high productivity. It is a well-appreciated olive due to its delicate flavour. The oil made from Leccino olives is sweet with balanced spicy and bitterness. Typical aromas: escarole, artichoke, almond and black pepper.

About Frantioi Franci:

In the peaceful hills of Tuscany, where the Maremma, Monte Amiata, and Val d’Orcia come together, Franci’s family has been caring for the land for generations. With about 120 hectares of countryside to look after, every olive tree gets the love it deserves - because for Franci, making great olive oil starts with respecting the land.

It all began back in 1958, when Franco and Fernando Franci bought the historic Villa Magra olive grove. They transformed an old barn into a small oil mill, and that’s where the journey truly began.

Years later, in 1995, Giorgio - Fernando’s son - joined the family business. Since then, things have grown naturally and steadily. Today, their oils travel to over 40 countries, but the heart of the work still lies in the same Tuscan soil.

Franci creates a wide range of oils - from local IGP and Organic Tuscan varieties to rare single cultivars and special selections. Some olives come straight from their groves, others from trusted Italian suppliers they've worked with for years. From October to December, pressing season is in full swing, but the real work happens all year round—caring for the land with attention and passion.

At the end of the day, Franci’s oil is more than a product - it’s a piece of their story, shared with the world.

ElOlivo Review:

This is one of Franci’s flagship oils - and as they say, the most awarded olive oil in the world. And truly, it lives up to the title. It’s a perfect example of what exceptional extra virgin olive oil should be.

The aromas are stunning: clean green herbs, artichoke, and freshly cut grass. On the palate, those same notes shine through, with a beautifully balanced medium bitterness and a distinct peppery finish.

We recommend using it only raw - whether to finish a dish or simply for dipping fresh bread into this beautiful oil. Honestly, there’s not much more to say. It’s perfect. A true must-try!
