ElOlivo Review - Viola Costa del Riparo Bio Extra Virgin Olive Oil (500ml) - Frantoio & Moraiolo Blend:
This is the exquisite Costa del Riapro from the harvest year 2022/23, truly a marvel. Let's begin with some technical details. This exceptional organic extra virgin olive oil is a perfect blend of Frantoio and Moraiolo olives, combining the finest qualities of both varieties. As you uncork the bottle, a magical experience unfolds. An array of delightful aromas permeates the air: green tomato, artichoke, rosemary, apple, and fresh green herbs, all perfectly harmonized. We even detected subtle hints of peppermint, adding captivating complexity to this remarkable oil. During the tasting, the dominant flavors emerge, showcasing the essence of artichoke and green almond, accompanied by a gentle infusion of fresh green herbs. It comes with a medium spiciness and bitterness in perfect balance. Words alone can not capture the full essence of this oil; it is truly a masterpiece from Italy. We reserve this oil exclusively for finishing dishes or dipping fresh sourdough bread, complemented by the likes of San Daniele, Parma, or Serrano hams, olives, and a touch of Pecorino cheese. Just perfect!

ElOlivo Review - Quattrociocchi Superbo Bio Extra Virgin Olive Oil (500ml) - 100% Moraiolo:
The Superbo of 2023 is absolutely superb. To be honest, we're not really surprised, considering the consistently amazing taste that the Quattrociocchi family delivers. It exhibits beautiful green aromas of green olives, freshly cut grass, olive leaves, and a hint of lettuce, complemented by subtle vegetable notes and a touch of bitter almond. On the palate, it boasts a rich vegetable profile with distinct green herb flavors. And let's not forget about its remarkable bitterness and spiciness; it packs a punch, so brace yourself! This oil is definitely not for beginners - it's robust and assertive. We enjoy using it both in its raw state and for cooking, particularly in pasta dishes. It pairs beautifully with vegetables and fish. Oven-baked mackerel is one of our favorites. All you need is some fresh mackerel from your local fishmonger, sea salt, black pepper, a squeeze of lemon, and the Superbo. Simple yet amazing. We're confident that you'll be blown away by its intense aromas and flavors.

ElOlivo Review - Bodegas Toro Albalá - Arrope - "PX Grape Syrup" Condiment (500ml)
No doubt a must-have category. Our favourite condiment so far. Ever since we tasted it we try and use it as much as we can. Our neighbour became addicted to this stuff. Once you open it you will smell the beautiful sweet aromas of caramel, plum, grape, and raisin. At the tasting, the flavour of caramel is distinguished and followed by raisin and grape with notes of plum and fig. Surprisingly, it has some ‘hidden’ smokey notes. Its texture feels just like silk. Beautiful, we love it. We don’t even know how we could live without Arrope. We use it for dressing our salads, dipping with olive oil and marinating meat, fish, and vegetable dishes. For breakfast, try adding a few drops into your granola with yoghurt. It's just perfect. It is amazing with some brownies and vanilla ice cream. You name it. Amazing culinary experience.
Origin: Andalusia, Spain
Best before date: Arrope, due to its long-term stability, does not require an expiration date. Store in a cool, dry place.
