It appears as a clear green colour with gold reflections. It is a 'sharp' oil, with an outcome of green olive with medium intensity, where scents of cut grass and olive leaves are followed by elegant notes of cardoon, artichoke, bitter almond and lettuce. Strong and rich in its vegetable notes made of official herbs with a heavy and well-dosed bitter and spicy taste. It is ideal with starters of porcini mushrooms, tomato bruschetta, tuna salads, octopus marinade, bean soups, grilled swordfish, red or black grilled meat and seasoned cheeses.
Moraiolo is an Italian variety and originates from the Tuscany region. It is well known it’s quality of oil it produces. The Moraiolo Extra Virgin Olive Oil is a distinctively fruity oil with high intensity of bitter- and spiciness. Olive Oil made from the Moraiolo variety has pleasant aromas of fresh grass, green almond and artichoke.
The family Quattrociocchi has been growing olives and making olive oil since 1888. Throughout many years the family passed on the knowledge and traditions to the next generation in order to help them to be successful in the future. Nowadays they are working on 110 hectares with 45000 trees. The third generation led by Americo Quattrociocchi utilizing the knowledge of hundred years of olive farming and milling made the company a huge international success. In the Word of Olive Oil, the Quattrociocchi means passion, respect for tradition and the highest quality.
As its name suggests this is a magnificent oil with intense fruitiness. Perfect green aromas such as grass olive leaf and lettuce with some artichoke and notes of bitter almond. This is a strong oil for sure. At tasting it is a bit sweet in the beginning, then you will feel the green aromas along with the bitterness. Followed then by a kick from the spiciness with a vegetable and bitter almond aftermath. In terms of aromas and taste, everything is ten times stronger than usual. It is like fireworks in your mouth, colours and shapes everywhere. We use it raw and also cook with it, mostly pasta dishes, it is beautiful with vegetables or fish. We love it with oven baked mackerels. You just need some fresh mackerel from your local fishmonger, sea salt, black pepper, some lemon, and the Superbo. Simple and amazing. We think it is one of the strongest oils we have in the shop so far. We're sure you will be blown away with its strong aromas and taste.
